The cost of games is on the rise.
While the big games like League of Legends and World of Warcraft are on the increase, the average price of a video game has skyrocketed in the past year.
The latest estimate from GameRankings.com shows that video game revenue is up 25% in the first six months of the year over the same period last year, thanks to an increase in sales of console games, smartphone games and virtual reality games.
The most expensive games are also the most popular, with Grand Theft Auto 5, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Dead Rising 4, Battlefield 1 and The Witcher 3 all set to sell millions of copies this year.
But games that are on sale, such as Overwatch and The Division, are also getting a huge boost.
The number of games sold each day rose 20% to $1.3 billion in the third quarter of 2016, up from $873 million in the same quarter a year ago.
“It’s a real buzz around video games and the way that they are getting more popular,” said Chris Rysh, senior analyst at GameRankers.
“There’s definitely a buzz around those franchises.

Here’s what’s new in the latest video game sales numbers.
The biggest game franchises The most popular video games have seen an increase year-on-year.
(The numbers in parentheses are revenue estimates from the market research firm SuperData.)
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild The biggest console game this year has the highest selling game at $1,000,000.
That makes it the most expensive game ever released.
But it also has the biggest boost of any video game ever made.
Nintendo sold more than 3.4 million copies of Breath of The Wild for the first half of 2017.
That’s a $3.7 million increase over the first quarter of this year, and it’s still well behind the launch of Super Mario Odyssey in 2018.
In comparison, the launch day of Pokémon Go was estimated to have sold about 1.7 billion copies in the United States alone in the beginning of March.
And Pokemon X and Y were the fastest selling games on the App Store in March, and the game also topped the sales charts in Canada, China and the United Kingdom.
Destiny 2 The sequel to Bungie’s hit game Destiny has already sold more copies than the previous game in the series, Destiny: The Taken King, and this time around, it’s sold more to a larger audience than either of its predecessors.
Destiny: Forsaken King has sold more units in the U.S. than Destiny 2 did in the month before its release.
The game also beat Destiny 2 to the top spot on Apple’s App Store charts, and surpassed Destiny 2 in the charting chart.
Destiny also overtook Minecraft to become the most downloaded game in North America.
The next most popular game in terms of sales was Destiny 2: Forsaken Kingdoms, which sold more in the week before its launch in the UK than the week of the launch in North American.
Destiny has sold nearly 1.6 million copies in its first six days on the app store.
That beats Destiny 2’s first-week sales of 2.2 million copies.
Overwatch Overwatch sold more total units than any other game this week, while Destiny 2 sold more Total War: Warhammer units than its predecessor, The Witcher 2.
Blizzard said the new games have sold over 20 million units.
For the most part, it seems that Overwatch has been the best-selling title in the world, with Blizzard saying Overwatch sold about 15 million units in its second week on the market, up 20% over the month of March in the US.
Overwatch is also the second most popular title on the mobile app store in North and South America.
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft has also been a hit, according to SuperData, which says Hearthstone: The Frozen Throne has sold a whopping 2.3 million copies on the iOS App Store and over 10 million units worldwide.
Overwatch has also outsold the top 10 most downloaded games on Google Play, and Blizzard said it’s also selling around 5 million units on Steam.
What’s the biggest shift in video game content over the last year?
The biggest shift over the year was the shift to virtual reality.
VR is an increasingly popular way to experience the world outside of the physical.
VR headsets are increasingly common in the home, where they’re used for immersive gaming experiences.
But for many players, the virtual reality headsets are the only way to see a story or experience a character.
There’s also a huge demand for a more immersive gaming experience in the digital world.
There are more and more apps that cater to that. “VR is
