The Food and Wine Festival in Richmond, Va., has been the largest and most diverse in the nation for years, but now it is on the verge of its fourth consecutive year of being named Best Food & Wine Festival by the Washington Post.

The Post named the Virginia Fair as one of its 10 best food and wine festivals in 2016, along with the Richmond Art Museum, the National Park Service, the White House, the U.S. Mint, the World Food Prize, the Taste of Virginia, the Chesapeake Bay Conservancy, the Natural History Museum, and the World Heritage Site of the American Indian.

And now the Fairfax County Fair will be the first-ever food and Wine festival to win Best Food and Food & Food Festival honors, the Washington Times reported.

“We’re very proud to win this prestigious title, and I am so grateful to everyone who voted,” said David O. Shaffer, president and CEO of the Fairfax-based Fair’s owners, Fairfax County Economic Development Corporation.

“This is the culmination of over a decade of hard work and dedication to the Fairfax Fair and its many guests.

We can’t wait to share the fruits of this labor with the entire country.”

Shaffer added that the Fairfax event, which takes place in April, has already been a hit.

“For over 30 years, Fairfax Fair has provided an opportunity for more than 12 million people to taste delicious food and enjoy a fair that is free and open to the public,” he said in a statement.

“Our volunteers and employees are committed to providing quality food and beverages to our community and we thank them for their continued dedication and dedication.”

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors voted in April to extend the fair’s festival through 2021.

The Fairfax Fair will also host its annual Halloween Parade, which will start in April and run through Labor Day.

In 2018, the FairfaxFair.com website featured a story about the annual fair.

“The FairfaxFair event is a great opportunity for the community to meet, experience, and learn about our country’s diverse history, cuisine, culture, arts, and traditions,” the site reads.

“FairfaxFair.org offers information about fairs, fairs history, fair food, and other fun, informative, and informative fun information.

Please visit the Fair website for more information.”
