Plans for a new, larger Valley Fair complex near downtown San Francisco are moving forward.
The Fairplex is a state-of-the-art shopping center that was built in 1999 to replace the defunct Fairmont Hotel.
The new complex is expected to open in 2019, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
It will include more than 2,000 new retail, office, entertainment, retail, hotel, and residential space.
It will also include a new amphitheater, which will feature a live music venue.
The complex is slated to open to the public in 2019.
The complex will be located at 2121 Alamo St. It is expected that construction of the Valley Fair will begin in 2018.
The Fairplex complex is currently under construction.
