The Maryland State Festival of Exotic Foods, one of the largest in the country, is one of five state fairs to host the 2018 edition.
The annual fair, which is open to the public, will take place from April 18 to 20.
The Maryland Fair is an annual event held in the state capital, Baltimore.
A total of 11,700 animals are expected to be on display during the fair, the Associated Press reported.
This year, a total of 6,000 animals will be on show, while 3,000 were previously announced.
In addition to the animals, exhibitors will also display new technologies, such as a 3D-printed chicken that will be sold at the fair.
It will be the largest and most expensive animal display to date.
“This is going to be the biggest, most expensive and most diverse animal show in Maryland history,” state Fair commissioner Lisa Jardim said in a statement.
“Our goal is to create a unique experience for visitors and guests alike, and we want to share that with our guests.”
The state fair is expected to draw more than 2.3 million visitors in 2019, the AP reported.
